Gibran Rakabuming Raka, the vice presidential candidate number two from the Koalisi Indonesia Maju, emphasized the importance of supporting the creative economic industry by providing easy financing facilities.
He pointed out that the creative economic industry has experienced rapid growth during the Covid-19 pandemic and continues to develop. Therefore, it is crucial for the government to continue offering support, particularly in nurturing start-ups.
Gibran cited an example in Solo where local banks have implemented a special start-up program to assist with initial capital. This initiative aims to facilitate young entrepreneurs in developing their businesses, especially when they lack assets that can be used as collateral.
In an interview titled “Info A1 This Time Gibran Talks Long, Ready for Debate?” on YouTube, Gibran highlighted the significance of programs like the one in Bank Jateng, which provides access to capital for start-ups without requiring collateral. He emphasized that this approach is the most essential aspect for supporting young entrepreneurs in the creative industry.
He also urged the government to nationalize such programs as a foundation for making it easier for creative industry players throughout Indonesia.
