Jakarta – Presidential candidate number 02 Prabowo Subianto expressed his gratitude for the arrival of his supporters at Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta, in the grand campaign event titled Pesta Rakyat on Saturday afternoon.
“We estimated that 200 thousand people would come, but the reports indicated that nearly 600 thousand people were present,” said Prabowo when opening his speech in the final campaign.
“I, along with Gibran and the entire KIM (Koalisi Indonesia Maju), express our highest appreciation for the sacrifices and the presence of our brothers and sisters today,” Prabowo continued.
Prabowo mentioned that initially the grand campaign was planned to start at 3:00 PM. However, it was moved up to 2:00 PM because the supporters had already been present since the morning.
“The official invitation for today’s event was supposed to be at 3 o’clock, but I received reports that you have been standing here since 9 AM,” he said.
He also apologized to the people of Jakarta who were affected by the traffic jam around Gelora Bung Karno due to the grand campaign of Prabowo-Gibran.
Not to forget, Prabowo wished a happy celebration of Isra Miraj to the Muslim community and also wished a happy Chinese New Year to the Chinese community.
Today is also the last day of the presidential campaign period for the 2024 election. Thus, the grand campaign at GBK is the closing event before entering the silent period. (SENOPATI)
