Jakarta – Candidate president number 2, Prabowo Subianto said, in principle, the victory achieved should not hurt others.
This was conveyed by Prabowo when he became a guest star on Deddy Corbuzier’s podcast aired on the YouTube channel @Deddy Corbuzier, Tuesday (13/2).
Prabowo then quoted one of the Javanese philosophies, ‘Menang tanpo ngasorake’. It means, ‘Winning without degrading’.
He said this because according to him, there are still many people who do not care about others, in order to achieve victory/success.
“Sometimes, Western philosophy is somewhat different. Because what I see, Western philosophy is that the important thing is success. It doesn’t matter how you win, as long as you win,” said Prabowo.
“In order to achieve victory for us, our side, ourselves, our family, (sometimes) we hurt many people. There is a Javanese philosophy, ‘Menang tanpo ngasorake’. ‘Winning without degrading (hurting)’. That’s what we have to hold on to,” he said firmly.
Prabowo added, with that principle, we will live without resentment towards others. This life, he said, must have principles as embraced by the warriors and knights. They live by holding firmly to the values of honesty, justice, and commitment to help the weak and oppressed.
“If in the philosophy of the warriors, my teachers taught (me) not to have grudges. A warrior is brave. Brave to defend the truth, justice, and honesty,” he said.
“Defending the weak, poor, and the oppressed. That is a knight. Defending must be brave, but must not hate and must not hold grudges,” concluded Prabowo. (SENOPATI)
