Morning atmosphere at Suparlan Airfield, Pusdiklatpassus, Batujajar, West Bandung Regency, was warm and filled with enthusiasm as President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto arrived to attend the Operational and Military Honors Parade. The cheers and smiles of elementary school children waving red-and-white flags greeted him with excitement. Along the field, residents and supporters also called out to him, showing their admiration with posters and chants of “Pak Prabowo!” and “A Strong Indonesia with President Prabowo.”
The event was significant as Prabowo was scheduled to confer honorary ranks, install the Deputy Commander of the TNI, present awards to soldiers, and deliver directives to unit commanders from battalion level and above. There were also plans to inaugurate new military units and make changes within the Army, Navy, and Air Force to strengthen the nation’s defense posture.
The ceremony included thrilling military displays such as paratrike performances, fighter jet flypasses, tactical demonstrations, and urban assault operations. It showcased the President’s vision to build a self-reliant and technologically advanced defense force, emphasizing the importance of a strong defense system for the nation’s security.
